Welcome to Crown Yoga (if you are new)! The first step is to create an account and consider what plan option you’d like to start with.
Start here:
Download the fitDEGREE app or access the web app (app.fitdegree.com) from a browser and login.
Purchase a membership, pack, or pass (via the web app, phone app, or website).
Book your virtual class spot (via the web app, phone app, or website).
Confirm your fitDEGREE notifications are on (required to receive the livestream link; see the “Livestream Notifications” section below for details).
Access your virtual class via the livestream link up to 15 minutes before class starts. (Again, turn on push and/or email notifications to be certain you receive the livestream link.)
⚡️ Late arrivals will not be admitted into virtual classes in order for the students and teach to maintain focus and avoid distraction in class.

We use fitDEGREE for purchases, scheduling, and booking, and Zoom for virtual livestream classes. Below are tips and best practices to prepare you for your virtual class experience.
Name. Please make sure your name is updated in your Zoom account so that we can check you in.
Audio. Check your audio to confirm the correct speakers, ear pods, or headphones are connected. Hearing the teacher’s cues and guidance in important in your practice. Additionally, they may not always be in view of your screen, but they will be speaking into a mic so you can hear them. (If in-studio, they may be walking around the room or assisting a student).
Mic. Your audio should be muted during class, however, please confirm your mic is connected appropriately in the event you have a question or need assistance during the class.
Video. You are encouraged to keep your video on during class. This allows the teacher to view your postures and offer real-time adjustments. It also fosters community, which is a strong value at Crown!
Tech Troubleshooting. It’s extremely likely that there will, at some point, be an issue with an Internet connection, the audio, the video, the hardware, or (sigh!) other technical issues. Please be reminded:
The audio or video might be glitchy, slow, paused, etc., depending on the studio’s, teacher’s, or your Internet connection.
If this occurs, turn off your video to improve your Zoom/internet connection. This will significantly reduce the amount of data to transmit, freeing up your bandwidth for a stronger connection.
If this doesn’t work, leave the class and re-enter using the same livestream link sent to you for the class OR restart your computer and re-enter the class.
If you’re still unable to stabilize a connection and decide to leave class, drop a line to your teacher in the Zoom chat so that they can reconnect with you after class and report the issues to our team.
Technical support for these and other issues are unavailable during class.
Below are sections from the Zoom knowledge base to assist you with connection or login troubleshooting. It may be worthwhile to bookmark these links and/or read them in advance.

Tap the gear icon located in the top right hand corner.
Tap the Notifications button.
Adjust your settings accordingly.
Learn more here (fitdegree.com) about how to access the livestream link to your virtual class.

Currently, we offer memberships, packs, and passes (including 1-class pass or Drop In) that offer both in-studio and virtual class access. Purchase whatever plan works best for your schedule.
Our Plans & Rates page also lists discount and financially accessible plan options.
While it’s currently not available, we may offer virtual-only plans if there is enough expressed interest. You can share your thoughts on this by submitting this 30-second survey.

Cancellation and no-show policies remain the same for both in-studio and virtual classes.
We highly encourage everyone to read our Studio Policies page for details. This will help manage expectations as well as provide an understanding of studio etiquette and community responsibilities.

Here are a few tips to preparing for your space for a virtual yoga class.
Find your space: Find a quiet, clutter- and distraction free area where you can lay down your yoga mat.
Engage your senses. Use candles, incense or essential oils, cozy blankets and pillows, and a few of your favorite things to create a safe, comfortable home space for your practice. Make it yours! For some inspiration or tips, view our Simple Home Practice Space Board on Pinterest (no account required to view).
Set up your equipment: Gather your yoga mat, any props you might need (blocks, bolster, strap), and a water bottle. Ensure your devices are fully charged or plugged in.
Test your technology: Check your internet connection and ensure your device (computer, tablet, or phone) is set up for video streaming. Test the camera and microphone if needed.
Adjust your camera angle: Position your device so that the camera captures your entire yoga mat and allows the instructor to see your movements clearly if interactive feedback is offered.
Dress comfortably: Wear clothing that allows you to move freely and comfortably. Avoid overly loose or restrictive clothing that might get in the way during poses.
Arrive early: Yes, even (and especially for) virtual classes! Log in a few minutes before the class starts to settle in and familiarize yourself with the virtual platform. This helps you avoid feeling rushed.
Communicate with your teacher: If you have any injuries, limitations, or concerns, inform the instructor before the class begins. This allows them to offer modifications or adjustments as needed.
Stay hydrated: Have a water bottle nearby to stay hydrated during and after the class.
Be open-minded: Virtual classes can feel different from in-person sessions. Stay open to the experience and enjoy the opportunity to practice from the comfort of your home.
Enjoy the experience: Relax, breathe, and enjoy your practice. Virtual classes offer flexibility and convenience, allowing you to explore different styles and teachers without leaving home, stepping away from work, or pausing your practice while on vacation!

Depending on the quality of the video from each class, we expect to upload class recordings and have them available to most members. These recordings will live in our our digital library.
